General F.A.Q. Page

We hope that this list will answer most of your questions about our Car Boot and Market sales. If you have any other question, please e-mail us for an answer.

We do not operate a "pre-booking" system. Just turn up on the day. If you have a lot of items to sell, you may find it useful to get to the site early.

All our sites are open from 6:30am. There is no need to turn up at 6:30am to gain a pitch. Most people wishing to sell enter our sites from 7:30am to around 9:00am. You can arrive at any time that is convenient to you.

Most visitors will arrive after 9:00am. Although the site is open from 6:30am ( NOT BEFORE )  only a few visitors will arrive at this time. Visitors can come at any time.

Our sales are open normally between 6:30am and 2:00pm ( busiest time 9:30am - 1:00pm )

If you want to sell "HOME BAKING" please remember to bring a current food hygiene certificate (dated within the last three years) from an accredited organisation. A copy will do. It increases your sale as the public will have more confidence in your products.

We do  charge for "car and trailer sharing" One seller, one vehicle, one pitch. Any problems see John on site. ( or any site attendant - you will be asked to pay again ) - NO FEEDER CARS.

We do not charge for either the toilets or the parking. All our sites have ample parking and toilet facilities.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE ROAD OR ON THE GRASS VERGE. It is both dangerous ( to your car as well as to other road users ) and you may end up with a parking fine - yellow lines and no stopping markings are in place outside most of our sites ! ( We also reserve the right to refuse admittance to anyone not parking in our FREE car park )

Please keep all dogs on a lead or in the car with adequate ventilation or preferably at home.

Sellers do not have to be on the site by 9:00am, if you want to arrive at 11:30am that is fine. There is no discount for late arrival !

We charge to visit and sell at our sales.

We charge each seller to attend. You pay on arrival, and a receipt will be given. Please display the receipt in you vehicle. Anyone without a valid receipt will be asked to pay double for the pitch and then asked to leave the site.

Please do not turn up with either hot food or ice cream. These concessions are taken. This also applies to Bouncy Castle and other such attractions. To enquire more please e-mail the organiser to be added to a waiting list.  See above for people wishing to sell their own "home baking" products.

Please take your rubbish home.  If you bring a dog to the sale, please remove from the site any "droppings". Please keep your dog on a lead. In hot weather do NOT leave your dog in your car.

If you want to sell either counterfeit or stolen goods DO NOT ATTEND. You will not be welcome. We work closely with the Police and Trading Standards. This applies to people selling tobacco or alcohol as well as touting for business for other events. If you want to promote your event at our sales, please e-mail and see John on site. There will be a small charge for this as you would expect.

Please follow the directional signs on the site. We operate a "one way" system in the car park.  The entrance has two lines to filter into the car park, with disabled parking in the top row only. Please only park there if you have the "orange" or the new "blue" badge.

Please only enter by the entrance. Do not attempt to enter by the exits to the site.  The entrance is clearly marked, as well as the exits.

If you are selling, it may be useful to bring some plastic bags for people to take your items in ( and some change - some people can just come with only £ 10 to pay for a 50p item.)

If you need to test electrical items, you can do so for a fee of 50p - Ask a site marshal for details. This service is unfortunately not always available

Sorry for the pontificating. E & OE.
